About this trip
This is a self-guided ride along the Moselle Cycle Path, following the river from Luxembourg into Germany and finishing where the Moselle meets the Rhine at Koblenz. Over 266 kilometres and five riding stages, you move through vineyard slopes and river villages at your own pace, with the route mapped out but no guide riding alongside you.
The paths are mostly asphalted and run separately from traffic, with flat to gently rolling terrain throughout. It suits cycling for the pleasure of it rather than for a physical challenge — time to stop for a glass of local wine or wander a village is as much the point as the riding.
