About this trip
Twelve days moving through Nicaragua's main chapters, with enough time in each place to actually settle in rather than rush through. You start in León, with its revolutionary history, then head inland to the tobacco valleys of Estelí before reaching colonial Granada.
From there the trip shifts pace, taking in the volcanic landscapes and crater lake of Ometepe island, and finishing on the open coastline of San Juan del Sur, where things slow down.
It's a route built around contrast — cities, farmland, volcanoes, lake and coast — giving a fuller sense of how the country actually feels rather than just a list of sights.
