About this trip
Jaipur's Old City is painted in shades of pink and laid out with a precision unusual for its age, planned some 300 years ago by Sawai Jai Singh. This short trip from Delhi gets you into that history properly, mixing the big-name monuments with time on foot in the streets around them.
You'll cover the major sights — Amber Fort, Jantar Mantar, City Palace and Hawa Mahal — but the walking tour of the old city is where the trip earns its keep, taking you through markets and back streets with room to try local food along the way.
