About this trip
Five days that cover three of Turkey's biggest draws, starting and ending in Istanbul. It's a fast-moving loop by road, taking in ancient ruins, mineral terraces and the cave country of Cappadocia.
You'll walk through Ephesus, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the region, then head to the white travertine terraces of Pamukkale. On the way to Cappadocia there's a stop in Konya, home to Rumi and the whirling dervish tradition.
Cappadocia rounds things off with its fairy chimney landscapes and cave dwellings, an optional hot air balloon flight over the valleys included if you choose to go up early one morning.
