About this trip
This 8-day trip moves through three of Northern Vietnam's most distinct landscapes, giving you a proper sense of the region's mountains, coast and karst countryside without rushing through any one of them.
You start with three days based in Sapa, walking out to Cat Cat Village, taking in views from Moana View, and heading up Fansipan Mountain. From there you sail into Ha Long Bay for two days, cruising past the limestone karsts the area is known for.
The trip ends in Ninh Binh, where a single day takes you through the old capital at Hoa Lu and the river caves and karst scenery of Trang An and Mua Cave.
