About this trip
Ten days that cover a lot of ground: two countries, four cities, and a real mix of city life, river scenery, and temples. You start in Ho Chi Minh City, then head out to the Mekong Delta before flying north to Hanoi and Halong Bay, then across into Thailand for Chiang Mai and Bangkok.
It's a private, partially guided trip, so you'll have some structure alongside stretches to explore on your own. Good for anyone wanting a broad first taste of Vietnam and Thailand rather than deep time in any one place.
What you'll do
- Explore Ho Chi Minh City
- Cruise through the Mekong Delta and its countryside
- Overnight cruise on Halong Bay
- Meet elephants near Chiang Mai
- Visit Bangkok's temples
- Fast-paced — two countries and four cities in 10 days means you're moving on regularly
- Private and partially guided, so some sections are led and others left for you to explore
- Suits those wanting a broad introduction to Southeast Asia rather than an in-depth stay in one place
