About this trip
Twelve nights across Tokyo, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Osaka, moving between cities by Japan Rail and exploring each one at your own pace. This is a self-guided trip — you get a full itinerary and the logistics sorted, but no group and no guide walking you through it.
Hotels are comfortable 3-star bases in central locations, and the route takes in a mix of culture, food and classic sights including a view of Mt. Fuji along the way.
Good fit if you want the structure of a planned itinerary — trains booked, hotels arranged — but prefer to wander, eat and sightsee on your own schedule.
