Tour: Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu & Puno – Includes Domestic Flights & Vistadome Train

Start & end in Lima 8 days Up to 18

About this trip

Eight days across Peru's biggest sights, from the Pacific coast to Machu Picchu to Lake Titicaca, with the logistics — flights, transfers, entrance tickets — sorted in advance so you're not spending your trip queuing or working out connections.

You start in Lima with a choice of two day trips, then fly to Cusco to explore the Sacred Valley before taking the Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu itself. From there it's an overland run along the Route of the Sun to Puno, ending with a speed boat out onto Lake Titicaca.

It's a guided, group trip built for people who want to see the highlights without organising them, moving through some of the country's most striking landscapes along the way.

What you'll do

  • Choose a day trip to Paracas, Ica and the Huacachina desert oasis, or Callao Monumental and the Palomino Islands
  • Explore the Sacred Valley from your Cusco base
  • Ride the Vistadome scenic train through to Aguas Calientes
  • Visit Machu Picchu with a guide
  • Travel overland along the Route of the Sun to Puno, stopping at Andean landmarks
  • Speed boat out to the Uros floating islands and Taquile on Lake Titicaca
Good to know
  • Includes two domestic flights and 3-star hotel accommodation throughout
  • Entrance tickets and transfers are arranged in advance, so the pace stays smooth rather than logistics-heavy
  • Suits travellers who want Peru's classic highlights covered efficiently rather than a slow, off-the-beaten-track trip
What travellers actually say

Worth it if you want Peru's big three (Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu) sewn together smoothly with knowledgeable guides. Think twice if you need detailed itineraries sent well in advance—communication can be patchy.

  • Guide Julio Cesar's Inca history knowledge and personal encouragement made Machu Picchu climb genuinely memorable for multiple guests.
  • Itineraries arrive late the night before, causing anxiety for early 4am starts; inconsistent messaging across passengers reported.
  • When illness struck, Waman proactively rearranged flights without being asked; logistics and timing generally reliable.
  • Rapid altitude changes possible if itinerary reverses (straight to Puno); pace covers significant ground in eight days.
