About this trip
This trip pairs India's classic Golden Triangle with a deeper run through its Buddhist heartland. You start in Delhi, take in Jaipur's pink-hued streets and Agra's Taj Mahal, then head east to the ancient city of Varanasi on the Ganges.
From there the trip shifts focus, moving through the key sites of the Buddhist pilgrimage trail — Bodh Gaya, Nalanda, Rajgir, Kushinagar and Shravasti — before looping back to Delhi to close the tour.
It's a long, ground-covering itinerary that mixes India's best-known monuments with quieter, less-visited pilgrimage towns.
