Am I too old for a group tour at 30?
No. At 30 you're inside the band for every major youth operator: Contiki runs to 35, G Adventures' youth line to 39, TruTravels to around 35 on most trips, and WeRoad's core bucket is 25–35. On typical departures you won't be the oldest — you'll be close to the average on plenty of them.
The age bands, as of mid-2026: Contiki is 18–35 (and now sells some 27–35-labelled departures of the same routes). G Adventures' "18-to-Thirtysomethings" line runs 18–39. TruTravels targets 18–30-somethings with an upper limit around 45 on most trips. WeRoad buckets departures as 25–35 or 25–49. One Life Adventures runs 18–35+ with most guests 18–40.
The real question isn't eligibility, it's the mix on your specific departure — a 12-day Europe party route skews younger than a Japan or Latin America itinerary of the same brand. Trip style is a better age predictor than operator.
