Argentina: Ushuaia, Calafate, Bariloche, Puerto Madryn & Buenos Aires

Ushuaia → Buenos Aires 11 days Up to 50

About this trip

This 11-day trip runs the length of Argentina, from the far south of Tierra del Fuego up to Buenos Aires, taking in glaciers, lakes, coastline and city in one go.

You'll walk in Tierra del Fuego National Park near Ushuaia, get close to the Perito Moreno Glacier in El Calafate, drive the Circuito Chico around Bariloche's lakes, and spot wildlife at Península Valdés before finishing with a tour of Buenos Aires' neighbourhoods.

It's a fixed-departure group trip, but not a closed one — you travel with others at each stage, though who's in the group can change from destination to destination. Transfers, accommodation and local guides are arranged throughout, so the logistics are handled for you.

What you'll do

  • Walk the trails of Tierra del Fuego National Park in Ushuaia
  • See the Perito Moreno Glacier up close in El Calafate
  • Drive the Circuito Chico through Bariloche's lake district
  • Spot wildlife on a visit to Península Valdés in Puerto Madryn
  • Tour Buenos Aires' best-known neighbourhoods
Good to know
  • Group size can vary between destinations as travellers join or move on at each stop
  • Flights, internal buses, optional excursions, personal expenses and national park entrance fees are not included
  • Easy-paced and partially guided, with logistics handled so you can focus on the places themselves
What travellers actually say

Worth it if you're comfortable with solo travel and doing your own research. Think twice if you want a cohesive group experience or prefer all accommodation sorted to luxury standard.

  • You'll travel solo despite being on a tour; different people picked up daily means no consistent group.
  • Patagonia scenery is genuinely stunning; transfers and most hotel staff deliver well throughout.
  • Final Buenos Aires hotel can be disappointing; book accommodation upgrades yourself if standards matter.
  • Weather varies drastically between cities; research conditions for each region before packing.
