About this trip
Thirteen days across four countries — Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua — covering Mayan ruins, volcanoes, colonial towns and Caribbean coast in one continuous overland route.
Expect a mix of market towns, jungle-set ruins, river and coastal stretches, and cities with centuries of colonial history layered into their streets. The route also brings you into contact with Afro-Caribbean culture along the coast, a contrast to the highland Mayan world further inland.
