Experience Ecotourism in Romania - eco-certified private trekking program

This is a private, fully guided four-day trek across two of Romania's best-known mountain ranges, starting and finishing in Brașov. One day is spent in the Bucegi Mountains, followed by two days trekking in Piatra Craiului National Park, with hiking days running 5 to 8 hours.

Along the route you pass through the villages of Măgura and Peștera, staying overnight at a local guesthouse and eating traditional Romanian meals made from local ingredients. Weather permitting, the trek builds to a climb of Piatra Craiului's highest peak at 2238 metres, plus a walk through the Zărnești Gorges.

The tour holds ECO-ROMANIA ecotourism certification and is built for two participants with a licensed mountain guide throughout. It's a genuinely demanding route best suited to hikers who already have solid fitness and are comfortable with a hard, sustained effort.

What you'll do
