About this trip
Seven days, six cities, five countries — this is a fast-moving loop through the Balkans that starts in Istanbul and ends on the Adriatic coast in Dubrovnik.
You'll fly from Istanbul to Sofia, then move overland through Skopje, Prizren, Tirana and Kotor before finishing in Dubrovnik. Each stop is short, giving you a taste of the city rather than a deep dive.
It's a guided small-group trip with transfers handled for you, travelling alongside a mixed group who may join or leave the route at different points along the way.
What you'll do
- Take in Istanbul's landmarks before flying onward
- Explore Sofia's historic centre
- See Skopje's historical sites
- Wander Prizren's old streets and try the local food
- Get a first look at Tirana, Albania's capital
- Pass through Kotor before finishing in medieval Dubrovnik
- Fast-paced — you change city almost every day across five countries
- Crossing multiple borders means standards, road conditions and English-speaking staff can vary from stop to stop
- Some sections use professional local partners rather than your main guide, so guides and vehicles may change along the route
