About this trip
Four days, three nights split between Hanoi and Halong Bay, with one night spent aboard a cruise on the bay. It's built as a family-friendly introduction to the north of Vietnam, mixing city time with a proper look at the limestone karsts.
You're based at a downtown Hanoi hotel with room to explore the capital at your own pace, then head out to Halong Bay for two days of caves, islands and boat-based activities before returning.
What you'll do
- Overnight on a Halong Bay cruise
- Visit Sung Sot (Surprising) Cave and Luon Cave
- Stop at Titop Island
- Kayak on Halong Bay
- Join a cooking class on board
- Free time to explore Hanoi independently
- Partially guided, so you'll have some unstructured time in Hanoi
- Paced for families, mixing relaxed and active days
- Only one night is spent on the water, the rest is city-based
