About this trip
This 12-day tour runs from Negombo to Colombo, taking you up into Sri Lanka's misty hill country, down to sun-soaked southern beaches, and through national parks in search of elephants and leopards. You travel as a small group with one ASY Tours leader for the whole journey.
Along the way there's a good mix of culture, wildlife and downtime — the Sigiriya Lion Rock fortress, the Temple of the Sacred Tooth in Kandy, 4x4 safaris through elephant and leopard territory, and one of the world's most scenic train journeys through the hills.
Beach days on the south coast give you room to slow down, whether that's diving into sea activities or just finding a spot under a palm tree with a drink.
