About this trip
Eight days from Negombo to Colombo, taking in Sri Lanka's hill country, southern coast and national parks in one loop. A local leader travels with you throughout, and the pace shifts from cultural sites to wildlife-watching to beach downtime.
You'll visit the Sigiriya rock fortress and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth in Kandy, ride one of the country's scenic train lines through the highlands, and head out on 4x4 safaris in search of elephants and leopards. There's also time built in on the southern coast to swim, dive into water activities, or just sit with a drink under a palm tree.
Accommodation runs across hotels, resorts, villas and cabanas, with transport, an expert local leader and meals included along the way.
