Puerto Viejo Beach, Short Break

Three days on Costa Rica's Caribbean coast, based in Puerto Viejo for two nights. It's a spot where rainforest runs right down to the beach, and the pace is easy going.

The town has a distinct Afro-Caribbean character, in the food, the music and the buildings, quite different from the Pacific side of the country. There's enough nature and coastline nearby to fill your days, with room to add your own adventure if you want it.
