About this trip
This one splits neatly into two halves: a few days taking in Bangkok's temples and markets, then a stretch of downtime on the beaches around Krabi.
In Bangkok you'll cover the big cultural sights and two of the country's well-known markets, one floating and one running along a railway line. From there it's a shift in pace entirely, with Krabi's limestone cliffs and white sand beaches giving you space to slow down.
It's a small group of up to 8 people and partially guided, so there's a mix of structured sightseeing and time to do your own thing.
What you'll do
- Visit the Grand Palace in Bangkok
- Explore temples housing large Buddha statues
- Browse the floating market at Damnoen Saduak
- Take in the Maeklong Railway Market
- Relax on Krabi's white sand beaches beneath limestone cliffs
- See the Andaman Sea coastline around Krabi
- Partially guided, so expect some free time alongside guided sightseeing
- Small group capped at 8 travellers
- Two distinct halves — busy cultural sightseeing in Bangkok, then a slower beach stretch in Krabi
Worth it if you value smooth logistics and want a hassle-free Bangkok-to-beach combo. Think twice if you're travelling peak season and expect uncrowded monument access.
- Tour guide Amin was genuinely friendly and helpful; staff went above and beyond for comfort.
- Christmas season crowds made monuments hard to enjoy; peak season timing severely limits sightseeing quality.
- Hotels were well-located, central, safe, and staff kind at both Bangkok and Krabi properties.
- Accommodation quality outshines the actual organised tours; expect resort relaxation to be the trip highlight.
