About this trip
This 12-day trip moves through Mexico City, Oaxaca and Merida with food as the connecting thread, from street markets to a proper cooking class. It's a coach-based tour, so you cover real distance between regions while still getting time to slow down in each place.
In Oaxaca you get into the surrounding countryside and craft traditions, seeing how textiles are made by hand and taking in Monte Alban's ruins alongside the Tule tree. Merida brings the Yucatan side of things, with local customs, fruit you probably haven't tried before, and a cooking class to learn traditional dishes properly.
Chichen Itza and a cenote swim round out the trip, giving you both the historical weight of the Maya sites and a proper break from the heat.
