Luxor Highlights: Explore the Majestic East & West Banks with Lunch & Felucca Experience

Start & end in Luxor 1 days Up to 20

About this trip

A full day in Luxor, covering both banks of the Nile with a private Egyptologist guide and your own air-conditioned vehicle. This is a single-day highlights tour rather than a slow wander, so you get the big sites without having to plan the logistics yourself.

You move between the temples and tombs of the west bank and the grand temples of the east bank, with a lunch stop and an hour on a felucca to slow the pace down and see something of everyday life on the river.

Everything runs door to door from your hotel, and because it's private you can set your own pace through the sites rather than following a fixed group schedule.

What you'll do

  • Guided tour of the Valley of the Kings on the west bank
  • Visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon
  • Explore Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple on the east bank
  • Sail the Nile by felucca for an hour
  • Lunch included during the day
  • Private air-conditioned transport with hotel pickup and drop-off
Good to know
  • A full day covering a lot of ground — expect a fair amount of walking and sun exposure at the sites
  • Private tour, so timings and pace can flex to suit you
  • Suitable for families given the private, guided setup
