About this trip
This 9-day private tour takes you from the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia across to the old cities of southeastern Turkey, a region shaped by Kurdish, Arab and Turkish history layered one on top of the other.
You'll spend time in Gaziantep, Mardin, Diyarbakir and Sanliurfa, walking through bazaars and old quarters, and visiting Göbekli Tepe, one of the oldest known temple sites in the world. Anatolian food is a running theme throughout, from Gaziantep's kitchens to smaller local spots along the way.
A local guide travels with you the whole way, and the pace is easy rather than rushed, so there's room to take the history and the landscapes in rather than just tick them off.
