About this trip
Three weeks through Spain, Portugal and Morocco, covering fado bars, flamenco, desert landscapes and walled medieval towns in one route. A small group of up to 24 people, English-speaking throughout, moving between capital cities and quieter historic corners.
This is a broad sweep rather than a slow one — expect a new city or landscape most days, with a mix of monuments, art trails and old town wandering alongside some beach and desert time.
Good for a group who wants a proper cross-country overview of three cultures in one go, rather than settling into any single place.
What you'll do
- Wander medieval walled towns in Spain and Portugal
- Take in fado music and flamenco performances
- Explore capital cities on foot
- Spend time in the desert landscapes of Morocco
- Follow art trails through historic centres
- Time on the coast at some point in the route
- Fast-paced with a new destination most days across three countries
- Private rooms throughout, guided the whole way
- Suits families and groups happy with a busy, moving itinerary rather than a base-and-explore trip
Worth it if you enjoy a fast-paced, well-organised three-week adventure with excellent guides and don't mind long days in heat. Think twice if you're older, need shorter walks, or want a relaxed pace.
- Small group size fostered genuine friendships; felt like exploring with friends, not strangers.
- Guides Amanda and Roberto were exceptional: fluent English, deep cultural insights, quick wit, utterly memorable.
- Itinerary is exhausting for older travellers; longer walks challenging. Summer heat demands serious sun protection.
- Some accommodation issues occur: one Lisbon room was cramped with broken hairdryer, though rare.
