About this trip
This 8-day route runs from São Luis to Fortaleza through Brazil's Northeast, crossing three states by 4x4 and speedboat. It's built around three landscapes: the dune lagoons of Lençóis Maranhenses, the open-sea delta at Parnaíba, and the beaches around Jericoacoara.
Days mix off-road driving with walks, boat rides and time on the coast, plus chances to try surf, kite or windsurf and to spot local birdlife. There's also room to meet people in the fishing communities along the way.
It's a self-guided trip, so you move through the region at your own pace rather than following a group leader.
