About this trip
Fifteen days by coach across Spain and Portugal, taking in the big-name cities alongside smaller towns most visitors miss.
You'll move between Madrid, Barcelona and Seville, then cross into Portugal for Lisbon and Porto, with stops in Alquézar, Peñíscola and Segovia along the way.
Expect UNESCO sites, old town wandering, tapas and a taste of local Port wine, all at a steady group pace suited to families as well as solo travellers.
What you'll do
- Wander the old streets and sights of Madrid, Barcelona and Seville
- Take in the smaller towns of Alquézar, Peñíscola and Segovia
- Cross into Portugal for Lisbon's city buzz and Porto's riverside views
- Taste tapas and local Port wine along the route
- Visit UNESCO-listed sites in both countries
- Coach-based, so you'll cover a lot of ground with regular travel days between stops
- A long itinerary at 15 days moving through two countries, better suited to those happy with a changing base
- Group tour pace, with family travellers in mind rather than a fast-paced backpacker style
Worth it if you want to cram Spain and Portugal's highlights into 15 days with energetic guides. Think twice if you need downtime, reliable hotel quality, or time to settle into each place.
- Early starts at 7:45am after late evening arrivals past 8pm left travellers exhausted and unable to freshen up.
- Hotel quality was inconsistent; some lacked hot water and were located an hour outside scheduled cities, affecting rest.
- Guides Gustavo, Joao and Walid were standout: professional, knowledgeable, caring and genuinely fun company throughout.
- Pace covers a lot of ground but feels rushed; split guide handover mid-trip disrupted continuity for some travellers.
