About this trip
Nine days across Spain by coach, moving from Barcelona down through the coast and Andalucia to Madrid. You get a proper mix of famous sights and small local touches, from Gaudi's architecture to Cordoba's old Jewish quarter.
The route takes in Peniscola and Valencia on the way south, then settles into Granada, Seville and Cordoba, where the history is dense and the pace slows down a bit. A flamenco lesson and traditional dinner with show add some hands-on culture alongside the sightseeing.
It wraps up in Madrid, taking in both the historic centre and newer parts of the city, before a farewell dinner of regional specialities and the classic Spanish send-off of chocolate and churros.
