About this trip
This is an overland journey along the Karakoram Highway, through valleys, high mountain passes and glacier country in the north of Pakistan. Expect plenty of walking alongside the driving, and a route that takes you deep into some of the world's biggest mountains.
Beyond the scenery, it's a trip built around the people and history of the region — old kingdoms, forts and bazaars along the way. A serious trekking and culture trip rather than a soft sightseeing tour.
What you'll do
- Explore the forts, castles and bazaars of the ancient Kingdom of Hunza
- Walk to the base camp of Nanga Parbat, an 8,000m+ peak
