Annapurna Circuit Trek

Start & end in Kathmandu 18 days Up to 15

About this trip

Eighteen days in Nepal built around thirteen days of actual trekking, following circuit trails on and around one of the world's highest mountains. Expect six to seven hours of walking most days, through rhododendron forests, past isolated hamlets and mountain villages.

Guides lead throughout with support staff on hand, and the route brings you close to temples and monasteries as well as everyday rural life in the hills. This is a physically demanding trek rather than a scenic stroll, with the landscapes and the effort tied closely together.

What you'll do

  • Trek multi-day trails on and around one of the world's highest mountains
  • Walk through rhododendron forests and isolated mountain hamlets
  • Visit temples and monasteries along the circuit
  • Meet local communities living traditional rural life in the hills
  • Cover six to seven hours of trekking on most days
Good to know
  • Demanding pace — 13 trekking days averaging six to seven hours of walking
  • Fully guided with support staff throughout
  • Shared rooms along the route
What travellers actually say

Worth it if you're reasonably fit and want guides who genuinely care. Think twice if you're a complete beginner or prefer smaller, homogeneous groups.

  • Guides like Suman, Cassie, and Amar go genuinely out of their way, adapting routes for weather and group preferences.
  • Company accepts trekkers with zero hiking experience; mixed fitness levels in large groups created safety incidents for others.
  • Porters are remarkably tough and dedicated; cultural immersion into Buddhism, Hinduism, local arts and teahouse life is thoughtful.
  • Snow can force route changes; flexible guides replan well, but flexibility matters more than rigid itineraries here.
