Spain, Portugal & Morocco: Tapas, Medinas & Sunsets

Barcelona → Marrakesh 16 days Up to 16

About this trip

Three countries in sixteen days: Spain's architecture and Moorish history, Portugal's coastline and capital, then Morocco's blue city and medina streets. It's a proper cross-continent route, done overland rather than by flying between each stop.

You start in Barcelona and Seville, move on to the Algarve and Lisbon, then cross into Morocco to finish in Chefchaouen and Fès. Along the way the scenery and architecture shift noticeably from Gaudí's Barcelona to Seville's Moorish quarters to Morocco's medinas.

This is a fully guided group tour with shared rooms throughout, built for people who want the city-hopping and culture without planning the logistics of crossing three countries themselves.

What you'll do

  • See Gaudí's buildings in Barcelona
  • Walk the Moorish quarters of Seville
  • Drive the Algarve coast
  • Explore Lisbon's old streets
  • Wander the blue-painted lanes of Chefchaouen
  • Get lost in the medinas of Fès
Good to know
  • Covers Spain, Portugal and Morocco in 16 days, so you're changing base often
  • Includes overland border crossings, not just flights, which adds travel time between highlights
  • Shared rooms and a fully guided format throughout
What travellers actually say

Worth it if you want hassle-free group travel and value meeting young travellers; think twice if you need deep city immersion or want activities bundled in.

  • Morocco leg genuinely excellent: guides like Omar and Abdul sourced quality local restaurants and nailed the comfort factor.
  • Spain and Portugal segments rely on self-booked Get Your Guide activities; walking tours lasted five minutes, restaurants underwhelming.
  • Hop-on-hop-off format means constantly rotating group; some guides lacked passion, leaving travellers adrift during abundant free time.
  • Fast-paced itinerary covers many places in 16 days; feasible solo travel could cost similar or less depending on your pace.
