Seven days of guided mountain biking along Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula, where the trail runs close enough to the coast that you're often riding with the ocean in view.

The route is broken into five stages, moving between beaches and small coastal towns rather than sticking to one base. It's a moderate ride — enough climbing and rough track to keep it interesting, but built for a group rather than solo racers.

You'll have your own room each night, and a guide with you throughout, so the focus stays on the riding and the scenery rather than logistics.

What you'll do

• Ride five staged mountain bike sections across the Nicoya Peninsula
• Pass through wild, undeveloped beaches along the Pacific coast
• Stop in small coastal towns along the route
• Cycle stretches with jungle on one side and ocean on the other
• Watch Pacific sunsets from the saddle or after the day's ride
