About this trip
This is the classic Golden Triangle run through Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, covering three of India's most storied cities in a week. You'll get the big monuments alongside the everyday chaos and colour of Indian city life.
The route takes you from Delhi's major sights to the Taj Mahal in Agra, then on to Jaipur via the ruined city of Fatehpur Sikri, before looping back to Delhi to finish.
It's a fully guided group trip, straightforward for first-time visitors to India and suited to families as well as anyone wanting a solid introduction without planning the logistics themselves.
What you'll do
- Explore Delhi's major monuments
- See the Taj Mahal in Agra
- Stop at the abandoned Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri en route to Jaipur
- Take an elephant or jeep ride in Jaipur
- Visit Jaipur's forts and palaces
- Finish back in Delhi
- Fast-paced — three cities in seven days with a new base every couple of nights
- Fully guided throughout, so sightseeing and transport are organised for you
- Suits families and first-timers wanting a straightforward overview of the region
Worth it if you want a well-organized, safe introduction to India's main sights with genuinely knowledgeable guides. Think twice if you dislike shopping stops or need pristine hotel facilities.
- Drivers and guides consistently praised for knowledge, safety, and going beyond—photography tips, restaurant recommendations, and genuine attentiveness.
- Solo travellers and large groups alike felt secure with 24-hour support available through operator Amit; solo experience described as seamless.
- Hotel rooms had recurring issues with non-functional amenities (TV, safe, kettle) at check-in, requiring reception calls despite quick fixes.
- Golden Triangle focuses heavily on temples and monasteries; limited flexibility in itinerary if you want different activities or experiences.
