About this trip
This 12-day route runs across Rajasthan's forts, deserts and painted towns, starting and ending in Delhi. It's a classic loop that takes in the big-name sights without staying anywhere long enough to settle in.
From Jodhpur's fort and palaces you head into the Thar Desert for a camel ride near Jaisalmer, then on to Bikaner, a working desert city with its own architecture and colour. The route continues to the haveli towns of Mandawa and Nawalgarh before finishing with Fatehpur Sikri and the Taj Mahal on the way back to Delhi.
It's a group trip with some guided sections and some free time, built around covering the region's major historical sites rather than lingering in any one place.
