About this trip
Five days, two very different sides of Colombia. You start in Medellin, split between the street art and history of Comuna 13 and a day out at Guatape, then fly to the coast for the colour and heat of Cartagena.
It moves fast by design — this is for people who want a real taste of the country without a long trip. Local guides lead you through each stop, so it stays personal rather than rushed.
Expect city walking, a big rock climb, old-town wandering, and a slower final day on an island just off Cartagena.
What you'll do
- Walk Comuna 13 and central Medellin with a local guide
- Climb El Peñol's rock at Guatape for the view over the reservoir
- Fly from Medellin to Cartagena
- Wander the walled city and its coloured streets
- Spend a day relaxing on a small island near Cartagena
- Short and fairly fast-paced — one city per couple of days, plus an internal flight
- Fully guided throughout, with a private option if you want it
- Suits families or small groups wanting a quick, well-rounded introduction to Colombia rather than deep exploration of either city
