About this trip
Ushuaia sits at the southern tip of Argentina, the last city before Antarctica, and this four-day stay gives you time to take in its landscapes and history at your own pace. It works well as a stand-alone break within a longer South America trip.
You'll get out to Tierra del Fuego National Park, where the Andes run into the sea, and out onto the water for a boat trip through the Beagle Channel. Between excursions there's room to just wander the town and sit with a coffee.
This is a self-guided trip, so you move through it independently rather than following a group leader, with the itinerary structured around a few key outings.
What you'll do
- Explore Tierra del Fuego National Park where the Andes meet the Atlantic
- Take a boat tour through the Beagle Channel past the Les Eclaireurs lighthouse
- Wander the hillside streets of Ushuaia
- Stop in at a historic café like Ramos Generales
- Self-guided rather than a group tour, so you explore on your own schedule
- Open to all fitness levels
- Argentina may require visa checks depending on your nationality
