About this trip
Five days across the Highlands, from Loch Lomond to the Isle of Skye, with proper time to settle into each place rather than just tick it off. You'll base yourself in Oban for a night, then two nights on Skye, before finishing in Inverness.
Expect a mix of well-known sights and quieter corners of history and landscape, with a fully guided small group and someone on hand to fill in the background as you go.
This one suits people who want a broad, easy introduction to Scotland without organising any of it themselves — castles, lochs, glens and a bit of battlefield history all included in one loop from Glasgow.
What you'll do
- Drive past Loch Lomond and through Kilmartin Glen en route to Oban
- Take in Glen Coe with the option of a Loch Ness cruise and Urquhart Castle visit
- See Eilean Donan Castle on the way to Skye
- Walk out to Kilt Rock, the Mealt Falls and the Old Man of Storr on Skye
- Optional visit to Culloden Battlefield near Inverness

- You may be dropped off in Edinburgh at the end with a train ticket back to Glasgow rather than returning to the original pick-up point
