The best of the Andes, Machu Picchu, Rainbow Mountain & Titicaca lake

Eight days across the southern Peruvian highlands, taking in Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Rainbow Mountain, Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca. It's a moderate-paced trip built around a handful of big, well-known sights rather than one long trek.

You'll spend time acclimatising in Cusco before heading out to the Sacred Valley and up to Machu Picchu itself, then cross to Puno for a slower couple of days on Titicaca, visiting the Uros floating islands and Taquile island.

Good for a first trip to Peru if you want the headline sights covered efficiently with a guide handling logistics, rather than an off-the-beaten-path itinerary.
