About this trip
This is a proper deep dive into Madagascar, not a highlights reel. Over 24 days you travel through remote national parks, along winding rivers and past pristine beaches, tracking down lemurs and the island's other endemic wildlife that has evolved in isolation for millions of years.
It is a demanding trip. Expect long, bumpy drives on Madagascar's rough roads, a couple of nights camping by the river with no bathroom facilities, and basic lodges inside the parks with no wifi or air conditioning. In return you get access to places most visitors never reach and a real sense of the country's own culture in its towns and cities.

- A good level of fitness is needed — expect treks, camping and long travel days

- Road conditions are rough and unmaintained, so driving days can be long and bumpy
