About this trip
This is a nine-day overland route across southern Madagascar, running from the central highlands down to the coast, taking in craft towns, national parks and a lagoon finish.
You'll stop in Ambositra to see marquetry and woodwork, then Ambalavao for Antemoro papermaking, silk weaving and the local zebu trade, before heading into Ranomafana National Park in search of bamboo lemurs.
The trip ends at Ifaty lagoon on the Mozambique Channel, a slower few days by the sea after the road miles inland.
