Tasmania Adventure

Six days across Tasmania, from Hobart out to the island's coasts and interior. Expect national parks, old townships, and a fair bit of driving to cover ground between them.

You'll walk daily with a leader, taking in Freycinet's pink granite peaks, the layered colours of the Bay of Fires, and the glacier-carved landscape of Cradle Mountain. There's time built in to look for Tasmanian devils and fairy penguins along the way, plus a stop for local wine and food.

This is a coverage trip rather than a slow one — Tasmania is bigger than it looks, so some days involve long stretches on the road. Hobart itself gets little time, so add days before or after if you want to explore the capital properly.

What you'll do

• Walk Wineglass Bay beneath Freycinet's pink granite peaks
• Take in the colours of the Bay of Fires coastline
• Explore the glacier-sculpted terrain of Cradle Mountain
• Visit the coastal heath and rainforest of Takayna/Tarkine
• Search for Tasmanian devils and fairy penguins in the wild
• Sample homegrown Tasmanian wine and food
