Oz East Coast + Work

Brisbane → Cairns 20 days Up to 24

About this trip

Twenty days along Australia's east coast, covering some of the country's best-known stops in one guided run. You'll swap between 4WD driving, sailing, and reef time, with a group leader keeping things moving and a set group of travellers around you throughout.

This version of the trip adds the Oz Jobs Program, aimed at travellers on a Working Holiday Visa who want support finding work and getting set up to live in Australia alongside the travel itself.

What you'll do

  • Drive a 4x4 across K'Gari (Fraser Island)
  • Sail around the Whitsundays' 74 islands
  • Spend time on Magnetic Island
  • Cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef
Good to know
  • Covers a lot of ground over 20 days, so expect a fairly packed pace with frequent moves between stops
  • The Jobs Program add-on is aimed specifically at those on a Working Holiday Visa wanting help finding work in Australia
What travellers actually say

Worth it if you want structured exploration of the east coast with genuinely invested leaders. Think twice if you're joining mid-tour and value immediate group integration.

  • Leaders like Val and Shannon provide personal restaurant tips, post-tour career support, and cultivate tight group bonds unusually fast.
  • Joining an existing tour mid-way means 8+ days of group bonding already happened; you'll feel the social gap initially.
  • Itinerary covers experiences you wouldn't attempt solo; activities feel curated rather than rushed tourist tick-boxes.
  • Ten-day trips can feel deceptively long due to group closeness, though three-week versions offer deeper east coast immersion.
