About this trip
Eight days along Ireland's southwestern Wild Atlantic Way, moving at an easygoing pace with two-night stays in Connemara, Dingle and Killarney so you're not packing a bag every morning.
The route takes in rugged coastline, castles and cliffs, with enough free time built in to wander off and explore on your own between the guided stops.
A guide, transport, accommodation and breakfast are sorted throughout, leaving you to focus on the scenery and the odd castle tour rather than logistics.
What you'll do
- Walk the clifftop paths at the Cliffs of Moher
- Explore the Dingle Peninsula's coastal roads
- Tour Blarney Castle
- Visit Dunguaire Castle
- Base yourself two nights each in Connemara, Dingle and Killarney
- Easygoing pace with two-night stays, not a place-a-night itinerary
- Plenty of free time to explore independently between guided stops
- Route may occasionally run in reverse for operational reasons
Worth it if you value knowledgeable, personable guides and don't mind a brisk daily pace. Think twice if you prefer leisurely exploration or dislike being herded through sights.
- Guides (Lee, Noel, Sean) genuinely passionate about Irish history and culture; go beyond reciting facts to engage personally with group members.
- Small group size (10-16 people) feels intimate; hotels upgraded to quality properties like Abbeyglen Castle in Clifden and Plaza in Killarney.
- Pace described as quick but good; daily schedule flexible and agreed upon each morning, so adjust expectations for brisk sightseeing.
- Company highly organised and responsive; guides offer unsolicited recommendations for pubs, restaurants, and alternative stops beyond the itinerary.
