About this trip
Eighteen days covering a lot of ground, from Ho Chi Minh City in the south up to Sapa and Hanoi in the north, with a beach stretch on Phu Quoc to finish. It moves through cities, countryside, mountains and coast, so you get a genuine cross-section of the country rather than one region in depth.
Expect a mix of history, culture and landscape: war history at the Cu Chi Tunnels, boat life on the Mekong Delta, old trading-town streets in Hoi An, imperial history in Hue, and trekking through rice terraces around Sapa. A night on a Halong Bay cruise breaks up the pace, and the trip ends with proper downtime on Phu Quoc's beaches.
This suits you if you want to see both the Vietnam of cities and temples and the Vietnam of villages, rivers and mountains, with time built in at the end to just switch off by the sea.
