About this trip
This is a private road trip from Marrakech to Fez, just you and your own driver, cutting through the High Atlas and down into the Sahara. It's Morocco's classic desert route, taking in kasbahs, gorges and dune landscapes over four days.
You'll spend a night in the Dades Valley among its dramatic rock formations, then head on to Merzouga for a night in a hotel overlooking the Erg Chebbi dunes and a night out in a desert camp, with camel trekking included. There's time built in to explore the dunes, meet local artisans and musicians, or just sit with the quiet of the desert.
From Merzouga the route climbs back north through the Middle Atlas Mountains to Fez, Morocco's old imperial capital, where the trip ends. It's a fast-moving journey that mixes striking landscapes with pockets of rest.
