About this trip
This eight-day route takes you from Morocco's Atlantic coast into the Sahara, moving through imperial cities, Roman ruins and mountain forest before ending in Marrakech.
You'll wander the blue-washed lanes of Chefchaouen, walk among the Roman columns at Volubilis, and spend time in the old imperial capitals of Meknes and Fes before crossing the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas toward the desert.
The second half brings the Sahara itself, with a night in a desert camp, then the dramatic scenery of Todra Gorge, Dades Valley and Ouarzazate, finishing at the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou and the souks of Marrakech.
