Ladakh sits high in the north of India, a landscape of dramatic mountain passes, monasteries and stark desert valleys. This 8-day trip takes you through Leh, Khardung La, Nubra and Pangong, covering some of the highest roads in the world along the way.

Expect long drives through changing scenery, time in Leh's monasteries, and a night or two under Ladakh's clear skies. There's room to add camel rides, motorcycling or camping depending on what you fancy.

• Jeep safari through the Nubra Valley, with its rivers and sand dunes
• Stop at Magnetic Hill and Lamayuru Monastery
• Optional double-hump camel rides, star gazing or motorcycling
