About this trip
This coach tour runs from Madrid to Lisbon and back into Spain, covering a wide sweep of Iberian history and coastline over seven days. Expect a mix of grand cities, university towns and quiet pilgrimage sites, all linked by road with a guide leading the way.
You'll walk Salamanca's honey-coloured arcades, take in the sea air at Viana do Castelo and explore Porto's riverside Port wine cellars. Coimbra's ancient university and Fatima's candlelit sanctuary add weight and quiet, while Lisbon brings Belem's explorer history and the sound of Fado.
The route closes in Roman Merida, tying together Spain and Portugal's shared past before the trip ends.
