About this trip
Twelve days across Guatemala and Belize, moving from colonial highlands to rainforest ruins to a Caribbean-edged jungle stay. The two countries feel genuinely different, and you get a proper taste of both rather than a rushed skim.
You start in Antigua before heading to Lake Atitlan, then on to Tikal to see the Mayan ruins rising out of the forest. Crossing into Belize, the trip settles into a slower pace at a jungle lodge, with wildlife and outdoor activities to fill the days.
It's guided throughout and pitched as easy going, with private rooms rather than shared dorms, making it a solid option for families or anyone who wants comfort without giving up on adventure.
