About this trip
A 13-day loop around Sri Lanka that takes you from the coast up into the hill country and back down to the beach, with a driver-guide by your side the whole way. You start in Negombo, head inland to the rock fortress at Sigiriya and the temples of Kandy, then climb into the tea country around Nuwara Eliya before dropping into Ella.
From there it's south to Udawalawe and Yala for wildlife safaris, then the beaches of Mirissa for whale watching and a slower pace, finishing up in Colombo. It's a fairly complete introduction to the island — culture, hills, safari and coast all in one trip.
