Andean Crossroads: Argentina & Chile in

Buenos Aires → Ushuaia 22 days Up to 14

About this trip

This 22-day route links Argentina and Chile's best-known landscapes, starting in Buenos Aires, where you get a feel for tango, European-style architecture and Argentine food before heading north.

From there the journey moves through the Andes: Iguazú Falls, the colonial towns and coloured hills of Salta and Purmamarca, then across the border into the Atacama desert for salt flats, geysers and clear night skies. Santiago offers a change of pace as a coastal, mountain-backed capital.

The second half heads deep into Patagonia — Torres del Paine, the Perito Moreno Glacier in El Calafate, and finally Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, where the trip ends among the channels and peaks of Tierra del Fuego.
