About this trip
Fifteen days across Vietnam and Cambodia, taking in the limestone karsts of Halong Bay, the old streets of Hoi An, the beaches of Nha Trang and the temples of Siem Reap. It moves at a fair clip, covering two countries and quite different landscapes in a single trip.
You start in Hanoi before heading out to Halong Bay to see the karst scenery and caves, then down to Hoi An for a slower few days among its old tile-roofed houses and countryside. From there it is on to Nha Trang for coastal downtime, before crossing into Cambodia to spend time around the Angkor temples and the carved sandstone of Banteay Srey.
It suits travellers who want a broad introduction to both countries rather than deep time in any one place, mixing culture, coast and countryside with some built-in relaxing days.
What you'll do
- Cruise past the limestone karsts and caves of Halong Bay
- Wander the old streets and tile-roofed houses of Hoi An
- Take a basket boat ride through the palm forests and watch the basket boat dance
- Relax on the beaches and coconut-lined coast of Nha Trang
- Explore the temples of Angkor in Siem Reap
- See the carved red sandstone of Banteay Srey
- Covers two countries and five main stops, so expect regular transfers between destinations
- Includes some free or relaxing time alongside the sightseeing days
- Partially guided, so some sections run with a guide and others more independently
Worth it if you want Southeast Asia sorted with zero logistical stress and quality 4-star hotels. Think twice if you need a traditional group-tour social experience or pristine modern bathrooms.
- Halong Bay cruise on a top-notch boat and 4-star hotel breakfasts with fresh fruit buffets genuinely stand out.
- Dat and the team communicate excellently about flight changes and pickups; everything runs precisely on schedule.
- Some hotel bathrooms are tired and need upgrading, despite excellent locations and staff elsewhere.
- This operates more as a brokered itinerary than a traditional group tour; confirm whether you want group camaraderie before booking.
